This Eastern Shore oyster wedding is one of my most favorite weddings of my career. Growing up on the Eastern Shore, Annie, was very thoughtful in planning her wedding with Zach and sharing the beauty of her hometown. Her graceful & classic style paired well with the grey, sage green and soft blue colors that illustrated the natural beauty of the oyster shells that accented the day. Starting our day at Annie’s childhood home to get ready was one of my favorite parts of the day. Annie & her Mom shared special moments right in Annie’s childhood room while she got ready for a First Look with her Dad who waited outside.
I love when my couples include generational heirlooms into their wedding, in this case, Annie’s wedding ring belonged to Zach’s Gram. Such a beautiful gift to be passed down.
Portraits of the parents is something I strive for at every wedding, for a few reasons. It’s a perfect occasion where they are dressed in their absolute best while looking and feeling amazing. It also gives the couple the perfect opportunity to provide a gift to their parents as a Thank You, Anniversary or Holiday Gift!
Zach and his Groomsmen got ready at a lovely AirBNB in the heart of Cape Charles. Annie had picked out a matching set of bowtie & cuff links from a local jewelry shop that perfectly matched their wedding palette.
A First Look well executed, complete with a tearful embrace.
Another family heirloom, the cake topper belonged to Zach’s parents from their wedding day.
A favorite moment during the reception for me was the speech given by Annie’s Dad, he brought his little girl to tears.
